LIV DESIGN is an Architecture & Urban Design studio committed to active community involvement and fostering the essence of belonging through our built environment, connection to nature, and immersion with culture.
Our objective is to offer a comprehensive, holistic approach to your project and propose solutions that resonate with diverse neighborhoods to enrich the quality of life for all. We ask the right questions by means of in-depth research, perform socio-spatial and health analysis, develop client collaboration and forge partnerships with local non-profit organizations. Ultimately, we strive to serve diverse minority neighborhoods and use architecture and urban design as ways to lessen these spatial and economic inequalities to increase opportunities for positive social change while being environmentally responsible.
These objectives emerged from the drastic realization and personal experience of deliberate ongoing systemic neglect amongst our minority communities.

Diego Gonzalez | Founder
Born in Bogota, Colombia, lived in Chicago IL since age of 10, and now residing in the Bay Area have provided me with a profound appreciation to the relationship between cultures, our built environment, and public spaces. I am passionate about how architecture and urban design have an ability to influence civic life and transform communities through these relationships.
Overall, my design experience spans across various project types, including high-end private and public clubhouses, bars, restaurants, commercial spaces, tech workplace tenant improvements, mixed-use developments, retail for Nike, Inc, and fire stations. From initial concepts to construction oversight, I've been hands-on every project phase for most of my projects.
Beyond my passion for design, my commitment extends to community advocacy, driven by a desire to create sustainable, inclusive, and vibrant urban spaces that amplify the collective spirit, providing a voice to those who often go unheard.
